Like all other social media, Twitter also provides an option to send direct messages. In this blog learn how to dm on twitter i.e. send direct messages on twitter.
You can send direct messages only to a twitter user who is following you. It’s not necessary if you are following them. You can’t send direct messages to people who aren’t following you.
Like Twitter tweets, twitter messages are also limited to 140 characters per message.
Here is a step by step guide which you can follow to know how to DM on Twitter:-
- Log in to your Twitter account.
- On the left side, there is a menu bar, select “Messages.” This will take you to your messages screen.
- At the top of your screen, there is a blue envelope with a plus sign on it, click on that or click on “New message” present at the right of your screen.
- Search the person’s username to whom you want to send message or select a group. Then tap “Next”.
- Now start writing your message. You can insert Gifs, images or emojis to your message. Twitter has a 140 character limit so keep your message under the limit.
- When you are done typing your message, click on the arrow in the right corner to send the message. And you are done.
